Hi my name is Kayla!
The baker and creative mind behind Snflwrs Cakes. I’m a 21 year old Vietnamese/Canadian and I started baking as a hobby only for my partner, friends and close family, never expecting it to turn into something more. But along the way, I discovered my love for design and creativity—so I decided to blend it with the sweet, irresistible flavors of cake. Now, Snflwrs Cakes is my little way of bringing art and flavor together, creating unique, delicious cakes for every occasion. Thanks for being here and supporting my passion!
I’ve always been a creative soul, jumping from one hobby to another—crocheting, tattooing, drawing, and finally, baking. But something about baking stuck. Maybe it was the way I could combine flavors and art into something that brings people joy. Snflwrs Cakes is named after one of my favorite flowers, the sunflower—bright, warm, and full of life, just like the cakes I love to create. My passion for unique flavors comes from growing up tasting my uncle’s desserts, introducing me to ube, pandan, taro, matcha, and more. Now, I bring those flavors and creativity to every cake I make.
Beyond the Oven
When I’m not in the kitchen whipping up cakes, you can usually find me unwinding with an episode of Friends (yes, I’ve probably rewatched it too many times), cuddling with my mini Schnoodle, Iroh, or getting lost in a good romantasy book. I’m also a big hockey fan—because what’s better than a fast-paced game and a sweet treat to go with it? Baking may be my passion, but these little joys make life even sweeter.
